A Few Questions for Madeleine Albright

The Atlantic  took the opportunity to ask former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright about some of her opinions at the 2015 Washington Ideas Forum. Albright is no stranger to navigating complicated forces and interests in international issues—in fact, from her tenure in government service, she is most proud of American intervention to stop the ethnic cleansing in Kosovo. “We got involved because we understood that we had responsibility to those that were being raped, ethnically cleansed, and punished for no reason,” she says. “I’m very honored to have been somebody that had something to say about how America used power at a time when it really made a difference.”
